Jean-Marie Londeix (born in the South-West of France in 1932) is an all-around musician who studied saxophone, piano, harmony, chamber music, and music history. Among his teachers were Marcel Mule, Fernand Oubradous, Norbert Dufourcq; he graduated from the Paris Conservatoire with a First Prize and a Prize of Honour. His concert career has taken him all over the world, and many composers have written saxophone works specially for him. Jean-Marie Londeix is president and founder of the Association des Saxophonistes de France, and president of the International Saxophone Committee.
